Friday 8th

8:30 – 9:00 Registration
9:00 – 10:00 Introduction to CNC Systems and CNC Applications – John Hennen
In this presentation John will introduce the Legacy CNC Systems. He will discuss the many applications for CNC including but not limited to sign making, custom moldings, etc.

10:00 – 11:00 Introduction to 3-Axis Programming and Machining – John Hennen
Understanding 3-axis programming is an integral part of CNC. John will give an overview of of the tools used in 3-axis programming.

11:00 – 12:00 Introduction to 4-Axis Programming and Machining – John Hennen
Chris will go over CCAM, Legacy’s turning software. After programming the part with input from the audience we will machine the part.

12:00 – 1:00 Lunch – included in the registration fee.

1:00 – 2:00 Utilizing Router Bits on your CNC – John Hennen Breaking out of the CNC Box. Getting the most out of your CNC machine by utilizing the vast array of router bits. We will be machining a few Rosettes.

2:00 – 3:00 How to Turn your Woodworking Hobby into a Business – John Hennen
Learn the 10 steps to start a business, financing options, establishing an internet presence, and marketing through social media. Learn how to provide service and training using your CNC to make a profit.

3:00 – 4:00 Designing and pricing your projects – John Hennen
One of the most daunting tasks with CNC is pricing your projects. In this class we will go over drawing and pricing some basic and intermediate projects.

Bring your questions for John and Dante and mingle with other local CNC enthusiasts.

Saturday 9th

9:00 – 10:00 Introduction to 3D Programming – John Hennen
Turning an image into a 3D model can be intimidating. In this class John will go over how to take a clip art and convert it into a 3D model. Techniques will include, vector drawing, node editing, creating shapes from vectors and two rail sweep.

10:00 – 11:00 Wrapped and Multi-Sided Carvings – John Hennen
Wrapping and Multi-sided carvings are taking your turning center to the next level. This class we will talk about the 3D carving tools and G-code needed to create masterpieces that will bring a new dimension to your woodworking.
11:00 – 12:00 Programming Inlay – John Hennen
John will go over how he uses the Maverick to create stunning inlay pieces. He will talk about the drawing and machining strategies that go into making a successful inlaided part. .

12:00 – 1:00 Lunch – included in the registration fee.

1:00 – 2:00 Stump the Chump – John
Bring your questions and win an extra entry in the American Flag raffle. We want to go over any drawing questions that you may have. We will take the time to go over questions and do our best to provide answers. If you stump us then you will get an extra entry into the raffle.

2:00 – 3:00 American Flag Wall Hanger – John Hennen
In This class we will go through the process of programming and making an American Flag Wall Hanger. This impressive wall hanger will be raffled off at the end of the classes.
